Amy moved to Sydney with her family from Hong Kong in Year 7. She went on to complete degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at USYD, as well as a Master of Commerce in Marketing at UNSW.
By God’s grace, Amy and her husband, Philip, were baptised at the Chinese Christian Church in 2001. After completing a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Ministry from Morling College, she finished a PhD investigating how children of Chinese Christians become adult Christians in Australia.
Previously, Amy served as a pastor for 9 years in the Chinese Christian Church. Prior to becoming a pastor, Amy worked as a systems engineer and ran her own retail business. Amy is passionate about using her gifts and multi-disciplinary skills to serve God. Her interests include staying healthy and baking.
